Flower Care
We all love flowers, and want to help them live as long as they can. Whether you purchase flowers yourself or receive a surprise delivery from Flourish Eclectic, there are things you can do to increase their life.
Bouquets and cut fresh flowers:
Our flowers are packed with a small amount of water around the stems to keep them hydrated for a short time until they reach you. Please keep your flowers upright to prevent spills until you are ready to unwrap them
Prepare a nice clean vase with tepid water
Cut about 2cm from the bottom of the stems at a sharp angle and immediately place cut flowers into your vase
Position vase out of direct sun and away from heaters or draughts. Some flowers are sensitive to ethylene which is found in cigarette smoke, exhaust fumes and fruit so keep flowers away from these too if you can
Re-cut stems every couple of days to help your flowers 'drink' more easily.
Rinsing out your vase and adding clean, fresh water every couple of days can also help prolong the life of your flowers by prohibiting bacteria growth
Life span can vary greatly depending on the variety of flower, so go ahead and remove any spent blooms as they fade to let your remaining flowers shine.
Flowers arranged in oasis:
Check the oasis (floral foam) is kept damp daily and top up with fresh clean water when required. (Whilst all care is taken to supply waterproof vessel’s please water arrangements over a sink or wet area to avoid any water damage).

Unfortunately, as flowers are perishable, we are unable to replace/refund flower orders due to a simple change of mind. If there is a problem with quality of flowers sent or received, we would appreciate a phone call immediately (within 24hrs). This is not what we wish for and pride ourselves on our premium flowers and their great quality.
If the order is cancelled with more than 24hrs notice prior to the delivery date of the items, a new delivery date will be organised or a refund will be provided.
